Description: This wabi sabi sculptural vessel can function as a decorative vase, bowl, or simple sculptural object. It offers a distinct silhouette with its cantilever body and slightly counter-weighted foot, and its artfully hand-worked visual and tactile textures promise to capture intrigue at close inspection. Its tall stature and sharp profile present this vessel’s rich colours and textures, artfully hand-worked by the sculptor over several days’ time. The inside surface is also thoughtfully textured with tints and shades of raw umber and is just as beautiful as the outside surface. Intentional maker’s marks surround the entire inside and outside of this special piece.

This piece has a very heavyweight, thick-walled construction that feels as heavy as stone.

Bespoke options: Contact Laurie by submitting the form below if you would like to discuss having a similar piece built for you. This piece could also be built with larger or smaller dimensions, in various textures, and of course to match any colour in your imagination.
